The new headquarters, training area and fire station at West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service is now complete, with staff recently beginning the transition to the new HQ.
The £18m project involved the demolition of the existing buildings and a grouting exercise to stabilise significant mineworking’s across the site, before the steel frame structures were constructed.
The new HQ now provides state of the art conference, welfare and business support for the service in-conjunction with sector leading indoor urban search and rescue training facilities.
